ABOUT SMART WOMAN SECURITIES
Smart Woman Securities ™ (SWS) is a non-profit organization focused on educating undergraduate women about finance and investing. SWS is dedicated to educating its members in the classroom as well as providing interactive experiences outside the classroom that allow members to engage with successful professionals in the financial industry and expand their network. Participants build their financial knowledge through weekly seminars, one-on-one mentoring sessions, hands-on portfolio management, and networking events with successful bankers, accountants, and investors, including a trip to meet famed Warren Buffett at his headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. We hope to provide the guidance and resources young women need to be successful in the financial services industry.
Our Impact
After gaining a strong educational foundation in the basics of investing during our fall seminar series, students are initiated as Associates. They can then choose to analyze a sector and manage a portfolio on our Research Team or attend career preparedness seminars as part of our spring program. The entire community joins together for our Annual Women in Leadership Conference. Upon graduation, our Associates are eager to continue to give back and support the development of future classes.
